Very pleasant staff but this place is a cattle call. They have no respect for your time and no apologies when they waste it. My wife and I made appointments for a six month cleaning and whatever they do for initial consults. I also had a broken tooth I needed addressed. Here's the sequence of events:
--Arrived at the office and had to refill out the forms because per the receptionist they can't access the online forms. You are supposed to print them out yourself. She confirmed that it doesn't say that on the website so there is no way the patient can know that.
Instead of staying a few extra minutes to be considerate of my wife's time and standing behind the commitment they made to her they just took her money for what they did (which was not the reason for the visit) and sent her down the road without as much as an apology for wasting her time or any offer to make it better or to be considerate of her feelings about the visit.
--An hour and a half later at about 4:30 they came to my wife and told her they would not be able to do her cleaning (even though that was the primary reason for her visit which was confirmed several times). The lady said that's what happens when the doctor gets involved, they over book. There were no apologies for wasting her time and missing work. They just took her money and offered to give her an estimate for the cleaning and some minor work she needed and offered another appointment.
I haven't been to a dentist in years. I got insurance through my work and needed a tooth pulled, so I began to look for dentist that accepted the insurance that I have. So I stumbled across alot of dentist's but none that took my insurance except Aspen Dental. I called and made an appointment and when I arrived they were informative and the staff was very nice and caring. The Dentist was really nice and explained the procedure and was really Awesome thanks to the Sevierville Aspen Dental Team!!!!!!

I went in having high hopes for this place. Four of my close friends and family spoke highly of Aspen so I decided to give them a try. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED Dr. Johnson and his staff. They were super sweet and very accommodating. However, my problem is with their assistant office manager who handles the financing. Her lack of a professionalism is beyond me. The whole time we were discussing insurance, she kept saying how this isn’t gonna be paid for, she’s going to need to manipulate the numbers. My insurance wasn’t going to cover this. She ended up calculating me a bill that was almost $2,000. Than she acted like she was so stressed because of her even having to deal with my insurance prices. Before I left, I asked her if I could schedule a appointment to get my cleaning. She had the nerve to tell me no dentist in Aspen would do a cleaning unless I got one of the gingivitis treatments. That treatment was $586. I’ll be getting a second opinion from Dr. Toomey’s office. I left with a fractured tooth that I just found out about, and feel like absolutely nothing was accomplished with an appointment that took 3 hours.
--Received a phone call to confirm the appointments and reasons for our appointments.
I have been a patient at Aspen Dental for a little over a year. I have had to have my teeth pulled so that I can have dentures made. It's never easy, it was a very scary process for me , and still is, But let me assure you that no matter what concerns I have had, questions I have killed the staff with ( Melissa wink, wink ) or any problems whatsoever. This staff will not stop until i am completely at ease. I have been pleasantly surprised , over and over again! I just Love the entire staff there. Melissa is my girl...she has helped me deal with a lot !!! She's Awesome and Dr. J is incredible! He makes sure I am at ease and satisfied with every procedure. The entire staff is great and the experience is Great !!! Thanks Aspen Dental in Sevierville !!!
--Filled out the paperwork on line as requested which also confirmed the reason for the appointment (which was a waste of time--see next step).
--My wife left work early to arrive an hour early for her appointment per Dr. Johnson's request and arrived at 3:00 for her 4:00 appointment.
--They made a joke that the dentist was going to have to do her consult because the regular person was busy.
Everyone made feel very comfortable and worked with me in fianicial area got all do in one day they were all awesome wonderful wonderful care
--Two and a half hours later I finally left with what I came for.
--After taking x-rays and doing the initial consult was told they couldn't do my cleaning. I shared with them that and the broken tooth were the reasons for my visit and the reason my wife was going to come that afternoon.
--They took my wife to the back and completed the x-rays.
Oh and I still have a broken tooth.
--After much hemming and hawing they agreed to do my cleaning. Dr. Johnson told me to have my wife come in an hour earlier than her appointment and they would make hers happen as well.
