I was going to this clinic to get my fingerprinting done for a job. I had an appointment scheduled at 10:00. When I arrived the fingerprinting machine wasn't working, and they didn't have the respect to call me and tell me their machine was down after driving 35 minutes out of my way. The rude receptionist gave me a card and told me to call them in a few hours to see if their machine got fixed. It shouldn't be my job to call them, they should have told me "Hey, we will call you when the machine is fixed". So after waiting an hour to hour and a half I called back and the receptionist could care less about it. So I asked her if there was somewhere else I could go and all she told me was to call a company. So ultimately I had to go to Knoxville to the UPS Store, which by the way were much nicer than anyone at MD Express. I would advise anyone to go to another walk-in clinic as apposed to this one.
Great Dr and staff very respectful and understanding the needs of patients would not ask for better people or go anywhere else
We needed to get to a urgent care rather quickly so a swift Google search bought up the closest one to us. It was .7 miles away. A little glimmer of hope I thought. We fight the pigeon forge traffic and get there to see a open light lit up clear as day. Relief. Until we spot the hand written note on the door that says they won't return until 1pm tomorrow. This place isn't very caring.
If it was at all possible to give this place 0 stars i would!! One of the doctors (can't remember his name) read me my rest results and they came back normal, I kept telling him well then why am I not feeling good, he says to me, you should be grateful your test results are good, the guy next door is dying he has cancer and he can hardly walk with a heart problem, the idiot kept repeating that I should be grateful as if I wasn't. Fitrst of all people go to doctors to figure out what is wrong with them, not to be told I should be grateful. I felt he was completely out of line. Just because I am not dying doesn't mean I am not sick of that there isn't anything wrong .
I moved here from NYC in Sept. of last year, and Dr. Robert Maughon has been my PCP since I got here. I am epileptic, so customer service/support/help is imperative for me... He is truly the best doctor I have ever seen. He is always more than happy to discuss however I am feeling, never rushes, always helps me to find the "solution" as I am trying to get off of pills altogether... No matter what the issue, he has always been supportive and wonderful. ALSO, I absolutely LOVE the receptionist, Lindy Gerow... I have been seeing her since my first visit, as well, and she is always unbelievably kind, patient, and helpful, and just couldn't be better at her job!!! Having this condition is extremely difficult, but having such phenomenal assistance really makes all of the difference. I couldn't love this place more!
