Straight up, the manager is a prick and the art section needs some TLC. Nothing is ever properly stocked, and the cashiers are rude more often than not. This would all be tolerable if the prices weren't absolutely asinine. The only reason they get more than one star is that the only other option is to drive to Knoxville.
Went into this store and spent well over $100 on some Christmas gifts 3 weeks ago. I came back today to return 4 of the items as I didn’t need them to gift any longer and the clerk told me that 3 of the 4 where on my receipt but the highest priced one was not. I told her I knew it was on there because I had never taken it out of the bag and bought it all together. She and the manager then both refuses to refund my card for it and give me a in store credit for half the amount as marked currently. Yet whatever was rang up on my receipt in its place was priced more than what the item should have been. Sorry attitudes and crappy customer service.
I usually don't write reviews but I felt the need to do so today. I went in to Hobby Lobby and (I'm assuming) they received their truck order because everyone was bringing out boxes from the back. I felt as if I was in the way because at one point, a lady drug a huge stack of boxes out in front of me. I said "I'm sorry ma'am," and moved out of the way. I understand they are trying to put stock up but a simple smile and excuse me wouldn't hurt anyone. I work in the restaurant business (in Sevierville) so I understand how common curtesy works. As I was waiting to be checked out, a young lady spoke up and said, "Ill get you over here." And for the first since I had been in the store, had I been asked, "hey how are you today?" She had a big smile on her face and talked to me the whole time. Before I left, I got her name and thanked her for being so polite. This store needs to make sure they hold on to Kacy because she is a great employee and those are very hard to come by anymore.
Large selection of items. The staff were very friendly and quite helpful. The christmas decorations and wrapping paper selection was very plentiful.
I had to stop by this location working all day. I know it was close to closing time; however, I tried to hurry my visit by asking for some assistance, but people's attitudes were way less than inviting. Also, while checking out, I tried to ask about a specific kind of paint. Little did I know it was the manager responding to my question. His attitude was worse than the other staff. A real smart aleck that wasn't really helpful anyways. Unfortunately, this is the only one convenient to me.
