I feel that this company flat out deceived us into putting a down payment to reserve our date before presenting us with a contract which any right minded person would not agree to. I don't typically rant about businesses but these people are straight up thieves.
I would highly recommend Flower Mountain Weddings. The staff was friendly and the photographer, Justice, is absolutely amazing. He is patient and has a great imagination. I was dreading the photo process but he made it enjoyable and the photos turned out wonderful.
My husband and I got married at Flower Mountain yesterday and the whole experience was more perfect than I could have imagined. The staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. The view was gorgeous. Bridal and groom suites are very roomy and comfortable. Great package wedding and easy to coordinate and plan via phone and email since we are from Louisiana. I'm so glad that I choose this venue and would do it again in a heart beat. Thank you for making my special day perfect!!!!
I personally would not recommend this venue based on my personal interaction with the company and the staff.
DO NOT put money down for any event at this venue without first asking to view any and all contract details and specifications.
We were married at Flower Mountain on Oct 28, 2017. The whole buying of the photography is my real issue. On September 15, I received an e-mail stating that we had the option to save $200 if we pre-purchase all of our high resolution, digital images WITH printing rights. These digital images were going to cost $1699+ tax (that is after the $200 "discount"). As stated in the e-mail, in order to pre-purchase, we had to put down a $300 deposit as well as write a review for My Gatlinburg Wedding and Gatlinburg Photo Studio on google review and Facebook PRIOR to having any services completed. By pre-purchasing, you are agreeing to cancel your photo purchasing meeting which happens after your wedding. Rachel, the coordinator, said that if we wanted to put down a $500 deposit, we could get the wedding images in a slideshow. So we put down the $500 deposit towards all of our digital images and we received our slideshow ~1 week after our wedding. We decided we did not want to purchase ALL of our digital images, so we contacted Rachel who provided us with a price list. When we got the price list, we noticed that they reduce their image size and only give you a print release certificate up to an 8x10. I feel like the wording in the e-mails they send is very misleading, as they failed to disclose this information. We asked for a refund (the $500) which she stated she could not do because "all sales are final." I totally get that that policy is on their website, invoice, e-mails, etc. but no where does it mention printing restrictions. At this point, we asked to speak with the owner, Casie, because we thought she may be able to assist us better. Rachel stated that she is hardly ever in the office and the best way to contact her was by e-mail. Rachel wanted me to e-mail her, then she would forward the e-mails to Casie. I did not want to speak to the owner this way. Because we could not find a way to reach Casie, we called her studio in Knoxville a few times over the course of a week to try to reach her to resolve our issue. My husband and I were both very polite when we called. On the third attempt, the girl who answered provided us with Casie's e-mail so I ended up bringing my concern to her via the e-mail address provided. I stated that due to the complexity of our issue, I wanted to set up a mutual time where we could chat on the phone to resolve our concern. She e-mailed back and said that this information (talking about the printing parameters) is disclosed during the ordering meetings but like I said earlier, we chose to pre-purchase all of our digital images which is why we didn't attend the ordering session. She said "with all respect, we are not changing our business practices and/or policies just because it doesn't suit you." She also went on to say why she only communicates via e-mail is because it was recommended to her by her lawyer so everything is documented which makes an issue like this more difficult to resolve. She stated that their policy is standard in the wedding industry and that that is just their business model. She stated "This is simple... If you do not want the digitals as we release them, don't buy them. Take the refund, or purchase something else." Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she stated that I would prefer to "shift blame to anyone other than myself." All because we didn't go to the ordering session when THEIR company sent an e-mail saying if we pre-purchase all of our digital images we would not have to go! After e-mailing back and forth for 2 weeks trying to resolve the issue, I finally just asked for a refund on the $500 dollars we had spent towards the digital images, which she previously stated I could have, but received a reply stating that the slideshow they sent us cost $499+ tax so I would not be eligible for a refund. And that was the icing on the cake. This goes to show what kind of customer service you will deal with if you have any issues. The venue is beautiful, but so is Tennessee and there are SO MANY other venues in the area. I would not recommend this company.
A beautiful venue for your wedding! The employees were kind and made you feel important. The road getting to the venue is a bit rough, but I suppose that's how mountain roads are.
Very shady business right here. We were looking for a venue in Tennessee and came across this place which sounded great! We exchanged emails between them a couple times before expressing interest and then was asked to put a down payment to reserve our date. After the reservation was scheduled and the down payment had been paid, the company then sends us a contract with some very concerning details that we we're not willing to agree to. We discussed our concerns with the company and decided that we would not be going with this venue because of the contents of the contract. We asked for a refund after choosing not to sign the contract and have our venue here and they blatently refused to refund us our money.
