We took our 10 year old yesterday and it was AMAZING! We stood in the rain and had a blast! The lady working there, Ramona told us all about what we found and was extreamly knowledgeble! We will come back again when we return to the mountains!! If you are visiting and need something to do (rain or shine) this place is a must!!
Took home a ruby, a huge lepidolite, tons of different colored quartz, amethyst, and lots of others. Can't wait to go back to continue adding to my collection.

This is a great place to go to. Purchase some marbles or Gems or even some petrified wood and fossils. And if you like antiques go to the big huge barn with the Red Roof right next door parking in front or back.
Best place to gem mine in the Smokies. The owner is the sweetest. He gave my kids gifts and made them feel special. The amount of gems you receive here, is double what you get anywhere else. Will definitely return.
