All of them said that these glasses are NOT safe for solar viewing. Unacceptable Sunglass Hut! I understand that there is a bit of a frenzy to find ISO or CE certified glasses as most places online and in store are sold out, but proft is never a sufficient reason to be this reckless and irresponsible with public saftey. I intended to purchase for my 2 year old and had informed her of this. Not ok Sunglass Hut.
I called to ask if they sell any glasses that would be safe for viewing the upcoming solar eclipse. The girl on the phone tells me that all of their high end sunglasses would be safe, and proceeds to list them. Oakley, Ray Ban, Maui Jim ect. Being sceptical, and seeing how I had just googled this question in reference specifically to the Maui Jims that I had previously purchased from them I ask her if this was true because...internet. She says, "absolutely." Can you confirm again? "No doubt." Fast forward to the end of my phone conversations with the customer service reps. of the manufacturers of these glasses.
This store has changed DRAMATICALLY since the new lady is over this place. Thank you, Jerri! I could not think of any more ways she could be MORE helpful. I wish I could give this place more stars! Best sunglass hut in east TN. Amber was very helpful as well. Thanks for honoring our coupons too!
