This hotel was so nice and cozy! My husband and I travelled to Tennessee for a wedding and decided to book the King Suite. It did not disappoint. The double seated jet tub was huge and super relaxing. And the fire was perfect for the cool nights. We really enjoyed the inside pool and jacuzzi. My only con is that there was one elevator and it was on the other side of the hotel. So it was kinda inconvenient. But loved the place otherwise.
The Hotel has been in a steady decline over the past several years. We've been staying here off and on for at least the past seven years and I think it's more like ten years. In the beginning our stays were great. The bedding was comfortable and the "free' Breakfast was as good as any served in a Hotel in the area. This time when we checked out the Breakfast we decided to just have a cup of Coffee and go to a Restaurant to eat. The, beds are worn out and they badly need to be replaced.
The Hotel used to really go out decorating for Christmas, now they just barely do although the tree they have in the Lobby is nice and tastefully done.
Internet service is all but non existent as my connection would come and go making general surfing all but impossible.
We'll probably be back in the general area again next June and December as we normally do, but until I know that this Hotel has been upgraded we'll find another place to stay. Sorry Clarion, but that's just the way it is.
Loved this hotel. Room was comfortable with 2 queen beds, a sleeper sofa and an extra sink. Quiet. Stayed in room 105. Staff was friendly. Waffles, oatmeal, fruit, sausage or bacon, eggs, grits, yogurt, etc for breakfast. Tiny balcony with 2 plastic chairs and a table. No view of the mountains. Twenty or thirty minute drive to Pigeon Forge, depending on traffic. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Indoor pool, hot tub and workout room.
The hotel is beautiful, almost Victorian looking in areas. The room was nice as well as clean, and the beds, sheets, and comforters were very comfortable. They were definitely way better than the normal hotel. The pool and hot tub are open 24/7 which was awesome! Especially if you can't sleep because of aches and pains or even if you just need a late night swim to help you relax. Each room, as far as I could tell, has a patio with chairs and a small table, which was nice as well. The breakfast was great as well, they had something for everyone, hot items, as well as cold, and bread, muffins, bagels, juices, and coffee to name a few. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.
Super friendly staff. Indoor pool too cold and hot tub was way too hot. Clean beds, clean linen, clean showers... Comfy beds! Free breakfast, extra towels and fancy exterior. Rooms are average and need renovating but classic! We had snagged a dbl bed with pull out for $90/tax!
The picture shows one of 21 House Flies I killed during our two night stay recently. I told Housekeeping about the Flies but nothing was done about them at all.
