Our air conditioning unit didn't work from the beginning. There was at least one outlet that was out of order.
We spoke with the front desk several times about the air conditioner. They first told us to turn the unit off and back on. Then, they actually came out only to do the same thing.
However, the room itself and the entire motel are in desperate need of upgrades
Most of the staff members are friendly, improvements have been progressing well, breakfast needs alternative rotating meat options.I have been staying here for several years. Location is great. Beds are comfortable for my body type. Rooms are quiet, and showers are good. Toilet paper location in some rooms not good. Have to take toilet paper before you sit down to do your business, or stand up just to get the paper to use.linins were clean and fresh.
So, we called the front desk AGAIN. They sent someone out to check on it. He brought towels and cleaned up the mess and planned to go upstairs to see what was happening. We mentioned the air conditioner AGAIN and he promised to bring back the box fan we'd requested. He was very kind, but he never came back.
She then offered us different room around the corner. It was after 11 pm at that point. We'd reported our problem with mobility; had an exhausted 9-year-old already in bed; and no one even offering to help us move our things.
Hello! This is an excellent place to stay! My husband and I rented the king suite, which actually has a separate room with a sofa and a table you can eat your meals. Very spacious unit! The entire staff, including front desk staff, dining room hostess, and housekeeping were all very pleasant and professional. My husband I travel extensively between our work and vacation, and this was one of our favorite places of all time! I highly recommend it!!
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very outdated. The non-smoking unit we were in was room 330 and the room smelled like someone had been smoking in it all the time. We later determined that was probably due to all of the cleaning staff smoking while cleaning the rooms. The bathtub had burn marks on it where a cigarette had been set on the edge of it numerous times. This hotel could probably be a great place if it were updated, painted, and cleaned, which would likely require new management. I would not recommend that anyone ever stay here unless it was the only place available. The problems were not reported to the staff because we had already unpacked our things and didn't feel comfortable complaining to the staff as we figured they would offer to clean the room with our belongings in there. They were smoking outside the room every day we were there and usually ever day we left the room we had to walk through their smoke.
Right before bed, we called one more time to see about getting a fan, so we could manage for the evening. I was told by the manager on duty that maintenance were the only people ON maintenance...despite her rank as MANAGER...and unfortunately none of them them were on duty.
We were playing a game of Uno when we suddenly heard water running. No one was in the bathroom or at the exterior sink. I go to investigate and find a steady drizzle of water leaking from upstairs through the fan vent (which didn't work either - before or after the mini flood).
I am a local in this area. We decided to plan a fun swimming, sleepover party for my goddaughter's birthday. Having always had a good experience with Comfort Choice Hotels, we booked a room here in July 2017. My mom and I both have mobility issues, so it was nice to be able to book a handicap accessible room with no problem.
Literally stayed for an hour before leaving. The room was completely disgusting. Spider webs, bugs, ceiling damage (which was clearly covered up with white paint). Sheets and wash cloths were stained, and it appears that someone had been writing on the walls, chewing on the mirror (an animal) and the whole entire room was completely nasty. Only positive thing was the man at the front desk. He was very helpful and gave us a refund. I am still itching from the thought of it. We had to come check into the Laquita a few minutes away, at 1:30am. Should have came here first.
We had a horrible stay here. I wouldn't recommend it, but I hope they are able to make some changes going forward.
