Wonderful food, makes me hungry to think of it. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with owner (not sure I ever got the name) about cars, specifically Corvettes!
Well stocked pond and plenty of "precious gems" for my kids to find in the large $20 bucket. The restaurant appeared pretty sketch, scared me from trying to eat there although I cannot attest to the actual quality.
We brought a group of 17 people (including 7 kids) and our experience couldn't have been better. The kids really enjoyed catching the fish for their parents then watched them as the dropped into the fryer. The food was excellent and the service was even bettter. It was well worth getting off the main tourist drag and trying something new.
Full mountain fish experience, catch ur lunch in clear, fresh water, have it cooked however you want, mine for gems while you wait, listen to the streams and mountain sounds, then eat the heck out of some delicious trout.
The menu has something for all, and the staff is friendly ans efficient. Talk to the owner and staff for an intimate view of local life!
Outstanding trout that they clean and cook to order. I had the blackened trout with a side of Mac and cheese and green beans. The spices were amazing, and the staff was friendly and attentive. This was a wonderful experience. I have yet to try the fishing for your own lunch bit, but the pond looked well stocked and I watched a few other customers catch their own. Absolute pleasure - will return.
